Expo São Paulo Hosts the Largest Logistics, Intralogistics, Multimodal Cargo Handling, and Transportation Technology Fair in Latin America Until March 2.
On the first day of Intermodal South America, on Tuesday, directors of the Suape Port Industrial Complex and representatives from business groups visited the booth of the Pernambuco state-owned company to discuss future projects for the study and production of green hydrogen and other renewable energies.
The São Paulo Expo gathers over 500 national and international brands from the logistics, intralogistics, multimodal cargo handling, and transportation technology sectors. The organization expects 40,000 people to attend by Thursday (2).

Public participation was ensured through a large LED screen, a touch monitor, and a kiosk for accessing the Suape app, through which users can track port activity in real time.
As stated by the CEO of the state-owned company, Marcio Guiot, “Intermodal is an excellent opportunity to engage with national and international players in the logistics sector and present Suape’s differentiators, such as our sustainability initiatives and the 2035 Master Plan, a modern document that guides the complex’s growth for the next 12 years.” Guiot has already held several meetings to prospect for new business.

Suape Stands Out as One of Brazil’s Most Important Ports
The administration highlights that the Suape Port Industrial Complex is the fifth public port in the country in cargo movement and is the national leader in both cabotage navigation and liquid bulk handling (17.8 million tons, or 72.1% of the total handled in 2022) (16.5 million tons). It recently ended Petrobras’ monopoly on offshore ship fueling.
Some discussions focused on the planned programs to investigate and create green hydrogen at the Suape Complex. Representatives from the Maritime Guide Portal, an organization specialized in promoting and managing renewable energy matrix topics, were present, along with representatives from various business groups interested in learning about the initiatives developed by the Pernambuco state-owned company, such as the TechHub Suape, which facilitates the implementation of new projects focused on the generation, distribution, storage, and management of green hydrogen (H2V). CTG Brasil, one of the leading sustainable energy generation companies in the country, will invest around R$ 45 million in the TechHub, which is being launched in partnership with Senai-PE.
A Bit About the Projects to Be Installed at Suape
The interim Director of Environment and Sustainability, Rafaella Viana, emphasizes that “in addition to the TechHub, Suape is prospecting an investment that could reach R$ 22.5 billion” through the installation of four sets of water electrolyzers in areas located in the complex, in four implementation phases. She believes this project has the potential to become the second largest in the state’s history.

VISITS
