Unmissable opportunity in a Veterinary Medicine course. Applications are open until January 6, 2025, with selection by essay test on January 26. Don't miss the chance to join a renowned institution and transform your career!

At a time when access to higher education is becoming increasingly competitive, an opportunity has emerged that can transform lives.

O Federal Institute of Espírito Santo (Ifes) – Campus Itapina has launched a selection process that promises to open doors for future veterinarians at no cost. But time is short, and registration is almost over.

According to information released by Ifes itself, Selection Process 151/2024 offers 20 places on the Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine.

Half of these vacancies are allocated to affirmative action, following current legislation, which includes black, brown, indigenous, quilombola students, people with disabilities and those who completed high school entirely in public schools.

Registration, which began on December 11, 2024, will close on January 6, 2025. Selection will be based on a writing test, scheduled for January 26, 2025.

Course and academic structure

The Ifes Veterinary Medicine course is in-person, with up to 40% of the course load being taught remotely.

The Course Pedagogical Project (PPC) is regularly updated to meet market demands and legal and pedagogical needs.

Students have access to comprehensive training, covering theoretical and practical aspects of the profession, ensuring that they leave prepared to work in different areas of veterinary medicine.

According to the notice, 50% of vacancies are reserved for general competition, while the others comply with quota policies.

Candidates interested in affirmative action must present supporting documentation, as specified in the announcement.

Who can apply

Candidates who have completed high school may apply, with priority given to those who completed their studies in public schools.

It is essential to fill in all information correctly when registering.

The registration fee is R$30,00, but there are possibilities of exemption for candidates who meet the requirements established in the notice.

Writing and selection test

The selection will be based on a written test. Candidates will be ranked in descending order of score, initially considering the broad competition.

If they do not obtain sufficient points for this modality, they will start competing for places reserved by affirmative actions.

The essay will be applied on January 26, 2025, on the Ifes Itapina campus.

The preliminary result is expected to be released on February 10, 2025, with the appeal period on February 11 and 12. The final result will be published on February 27, 2025.

Importance of the course

Veterinary Medicine is a profession in high demand in Brazil, covering areas such as animal health, zoonosis control and agricultural production.

Training in this area can open up a number of job opportunities, especially for those who wish to contribute to the development of the agricultural sector, which is of great importance to the national economy.
