How Does the Specialization Work?
The course will be offered 100% online, through the Moodle platform, without the need for in-person meetings.
Students will have synchronous and asynchronous classes, allowing flexibility for them to study at their own pace.
The total duration is 18 months, with a workload of 360 hours, and at the end, participants must present a Final Course Work (TCC) to obtain the certificate.
What Is the Course’s Objective?
The specialization aims to qualify professionals who already work or intend to enter the Professional and Technological Education.

How Many Slots Are Available?
IFAC has made 150 slots available, distributed across five different centers in the state of Acre: Rio Branco, Cruzeiro do Sul, Tarauacá, Sena Madureira, and Xapuri. The slots are divided as follows:
- 70% for general competition;
- 5% reserved for people with disabilities (PCD);
- 25% allocated to self-declared Black, Brown, Indigenous, or Quilombola candidates, according to IFAC’s Affirmative Action Policy.
Who Can Apply?
To participate in the selection, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a higher education degree;
- Reside in the state of Acre;
- Register according to the rules of affirmative actions, if opting for this modality;
- Prove experience in Basic or Professional and Technological Education, if applicable.
How Will the Selection Process Work?
Candidates will be evaluated based on two main criteria:
- Correct submission of required documentation;
- Classification according to professional experience in basic education or EPT.
In case of a tie, the following tiebreaker factors will be considered:
- Longer time working in the educational field;
- Higher score in professional experience;
- Older candidate.
