Jalles Machado, a company specialized in sugar and ethanol production, announced the approval for the establishment of a new sugar factory in the municipality of Santa Vitória (MG). With an estimated investment of 170 million reais, according to Investing, the factory will have the capacity to produce 15 thousand 50kg bags of VHP sugar per day, totaling 150 thousand tons per harvest. This initiative will provide the company with greater flexibility in its production, as well as taking advantage of the favorable moment of the commodity’s price and diversifying its business in MG.
Currently, Jalles Machado’s unit in Santa Vitória (MG) has 100% of its mix dedicated to ethanol production. With the establishment of the new factory, the company will have the capacity to allocate up to 52% of its production to sugar, increasing its flexibility and diversifying its product portfolio.
