Erasmo Carlos Battistella, CEO of Be8 (formerly known as BSBIOS), announced the launch of a new green fuel, BeVant. According to the company, this product promises to be a milestone in the automotive industry, especially regarding its use in diesel vehicles.
The BeVant will be produced from the same raw materials as conventional biodiesel, such as soybean oil and animal fat. The difference lies in the additional processes the product will undergo, such as distillation, making it even more efficient in reducing harmful gas emissions.
The BeVant is no joke when it comes to sustainability. The fuel will reduce carbon monoxide (CO) emissions by up to 50%, particulate matter emissions by up to 85%, and black smoke by up to 90%.
Investments and Future Projections
Innovation has a price, and in this case, we are talking about an investment of R$ 80 million allocated for research, development, and expansion of the production line at the factory in Passo Fundo (RS). The initial production capacity of BeVant will be 150 million liters per year, and the expectation is that the product will be on the market within 12 months.
