Schneider Electric’s Global Competition Offers Cash Prizes, Mentorship, and Training for Youth with Sustainable Ideas in Solar Energy
One of the largest student competitions on sustainable innovation in the world is now open for registrations. Schneider Go Green 2025 invites young university students and entrepreneurs to create solar energy solutions focused on agriculture and micro-enterprises.
The initiative is promoted by Schneider Electric, a global company specializing in digital transformation of energy and automation.
The competition offers cash prizes and mentorship from experts. There is a total of €10,000 in prizes, with €6,000 for the first place, €2,500 for the second, and €1,500 for the third place.

The selected participants also gain access to the international course Get into Energy Transition, offered by Schneider Electric University, as well as mentorship with professionals from the company.
The awards also include Family Home solar kits, provided through the Youth Education & Entrepreneurship and Access to Energy programs, both linked to Schneider Electric.
According to Charise Le, Global Director of Human Resources at Schneider Electric, the competition is a way to support young talents. “Schneider Go Green is a testament to our commitment to developing the next generation of talent,” she stated.
She emphasized that the initiative promotes creativity, collaboration, and learning, and is aligned with the company’s values, such as Action and Inclusion.
The theme for the 2025 edition is “Renewable Energy for Life and Livelihood,” with two main focuses. The first is aimed at solar solutions applied to agriculture, from the pre-harvest phase to processing and storage.
The second involves solar-powered micro-enterprises in areas such as retail, manufacturing, services, production, and refrigeration.
In the 2022 edition, participants reported the importance of the mentorship offered by Schneider Electric. One of the winners highlighted the essential role of the assigned mentor: “He was our guiding star, helping us align the project with the company’s technical and business requirements.”
According to the group, the technical guidance was decisive in making the idea viable and adapted to the real market needs.
Registrations can be made until May 31. Teams must be formed by that date. The final submission of proposals must occur by June 30, marking the official end of the initial stage of the competition.
