The “Embrace This Project” program will offer 560 free spots in technical courses for the cities of Inocência, Paranaíba, and Três Lagoas, in Mato Grosso do Sul, starting in August. The initiative is a partnership between Senai-MS and Arauco, through the Sucuriú Project, focused on workforce training for the growing cellulose industry in the state.
The courses offered cover high-demand areas in the industrial sector, such as Automation, Cellulose & Paper, Electrotechnics, Logistics, Mechanics, and Chemistry.
The classes will be divided between full-time and evening periods, ensuring flexibility for those who want to qualify.

Technical Course in Industrial Automation
Offered at the units in Inocência and Três Lagoas, the course has a workload of 1,440 hours. It trains professionals capable of implementing and executing control and automation systems in industrial environments, focusing on quality, safety, and sustainability. The course also covers industrial networks, embedded systems, and advanced process control.
Technical Course in Cellulose and Paper
Available in Inocência, Paranaíba, and Três Lagoas, the course has a workload of 1,263 hours. This training prepares students to work in all stages of cellulose and paper production, from raw material processing to finishing. The course is conducted in laboratories and pilot plants that simulate the industrial environment, ensuring training aligned with the sector’s needs.
Technical Course in Electrotechnics
With a duration of 1,200 hours, this course is available in the cities of Inocência and Paranaíba. It trains professionals capable of installing, maintaining, and designing electrical systems in different types of buildings and industries, complying with technical and environmental standards. The role of the Electrotechnics technician is essential to ensuring energy efficiency and safety in electrical systems.
Technical Course in Logistics
Offered in Inocência, Paranaíba, and Três Lagoas, the course has 960 hours and prepares students to work in supply chain management, transportation, production, and distribution. SENAI provides technical training combined with behavioral competencies such as leadership, teamwork, and systemic vision.
Technical Course in Mechanics
With a duration of 1,360 hours, the course is offered in Inocência and Paranaíba. The Mechanics technician can work in industrial maintenance, production, quality control, and mechanical project development, always focusing on safety and sustainability.
Technical Course in Chemistry
Available in the cities of Paranaíba and Três Lagoas, with 1,300 hours, the course trains professionals capable of conducting chemical analyses, operating laboratory and industrial processes, and developing analytical methods. SENAI offers cutting-edge facilities, with modern laboratories for safe and efficient practices.
Scholarships of up to R$ 1,500 Reinforce Incentive for Technical Training
In addition to free education, participants will receive monthly scholarships of up to R$ 1,500, an important aid for those who need to fully dedicate themselves to their studies.
The selected students will receive financial aid based on the daily workload of the in-person technical course attended.
For courses with up to 8 daily hours, the scholarship amount is R$ 1,500. For courses with up to 4 daily hours, students will be entitled to R$ 750 per month.
The expectation is that, with this assistance, students will be able to dedicate themselves entirely to their training, without needing to balance the course with other paid activities.
According to Arnaldo Milan de Souza, People Manager of the Sucuriú Project, the proposal goes beyond the new company facility:
“This stage is essential to the Sucuriú Project, an investment in people, in education, in the future. The program was designed to bring training and elevate the educational level of individuals by creating opportunities, both in Arauco’s operations and in the companies involved in implementing the Project.”

Interested parties must be 18 years or older and have a complete high school education.

Senai-MS will play a central role in the execution of the courses, ensuring adequate training to meet the demands of the new industrial unit.
“We have enough time to prepare, advertise, and execute all stages of professional qualification, ensuring that when the plant’s activities start, all spots will be filled and there will be no labor shortage,” explains Rodolpho Caesar Mangialardo, Regional Director of SENAI.
