Foresea Holds the Highest Operational Uptime in the Market with an Average Percentage of 98.2% Operational Availability Across Its Entire Fleet.
Foresea’s drillship Norbe IX, located at the Sagitário exploratory well in the Santos Basin, received a unique visit from the president of the American Petroleum Institute (API), Mike Sommers. Foresea is the only company in the oil and gas sector to obtain the API Spec Q2 management quality certification for its entire asset fleet in Brazil. The certification attests that safety, operational efficiency, and sustainability requirements are met and combined in the pursuit of the best results in natural gas and oil exploration and production activities.
During the visit, which included other API members, Mike Sommers had the opportunity to closely observe the work of the collaborators on the rig, as well as the Institute’s efforts to support the global oil and natural gas industry. Sommers highlighted Foresea’s quality, efficiency, and safety standards and even donned the company’s jumpsuit.
The executive described the experience as a “fantastic opportunity to see API’s work on-site.” He emphasized that “Brazilian workers are producing the necessary supplies to reinforce energy security at a critical moment in world history.”.
