TotalEnergies Reinforces Leadership In Energy Transition At ROGe 2024, With Prominent Presence In Panels And The Renewables Arena, Investing In Multiple Energies.
TotalEnergies reaffirms its prominent position in the energy transition, marking its presence at ROGe 2024 with a significant participation in panels and the Renewables Arena. In its hundredth celebration, TotalEnergies is committed to investing in various energy sources, multiplying its sustainable and innovative initiatives to ensure a greener and more efficient future.
Accompanied by its global CEO, this company aims to significantly influence the Strategic Talks, which will take place on the first day of the event. TotalEnergies will not only stand out in the Renewables Arena but will also bring exclusive innovations to the inaugural iUP Innovation Connections. With such a robust presence, the company demonstrates its ongoing commitment to the evolution of the energy sector, consolidating its leadership in the field.
History Of Pioneering In Brazil And The World
In 2024, from September 23 to 26, a remarkable event will take place at Pier Mauá, Rio de Janeiro, where TotalEnergies will share its relevant history of pioneering in both Brazil and the global scene. As the Energy sponsor of this edition, the company will once again demonstrate its integrated global operations, investing in multiple energies. TotalEnergies has a rich history of achievements that have shaped the energy industry over the last century, being a reference in the sector.
-
Europe has never produced so much clean energy at the start of a year — 384.9 TWh of renewables in the first quarter of 2026 broke all records, and fossil generation fell to its lowest level.
-
For the first time in history, solar and wind energy supplied more electricity than all global demand growth — and fossil generation fell to its lowest level in 100 years.
-
Renewable energy surpasses coal for the first time and marks a historic turning point in the global electricity sector
-
Climate change should be combated by solar and wind energy — but extreme heat reduces the efficiency of panels, violent winds shut down the turbines, and extreme rainfall floods entire power plants.
ROGe – the new name of the historic Rio Oil & Gas, aligned with the sector’s development towards new energy sources – will provide TotalEnergies with a valuable opportunity to highlight this trajectory and point towards the future. This event will be a platform for the company to reminisce about past achievements and chart new paths in the energy sector.
Strategic Participation Of The CEO
On the first day of the event, at 11:40 AM, TotalEnergies CEO Patrick Pouyanné will participate in the Strategic Talks panel (formerly known as CEO Talks). During his participation, he will discuss essential strategies of TotalEnergies, focusing on leading the energy transition while increasing energy production with minimal emissions. On the last day of ROGe, Charles Fernandes, who serves as General Director of TotalEnergies EP Brazil and Country Chair of TotalEnergies in the country, will address the perspectives of the pre-salt. This is a strategic topic in light of TotalEnergies’ long-term commitment to Brazil.
In recent years, the company has recorded significant expansion in Brazil. This expansion included the acquisition of low-cost and low-emission assets, as well as a strategic partnership in renewables with Casa dos Ventos, one of the leading players in the sector in Brazil. Continuing its pursuit of new business, the company will present at ROGe why Brazil is crucial to its multi-energy strategy.
Booths And Interactive Activities
In addition to the scheduled talks, other leaders from TotalEnergies will also participate in high-level panels at ROGe. In the Exhibitors area, the company will occupy a space of 130m² in Warehouse 4, offering interactive attractions and multimedia content. A series of presentations will address strategic topics such as research and development, emissions reduction in operations, biodiversity, career development, diversity and inclusion, and open innovation.
In the Main Warehouse, more specifically in the Upper Pavilion, TotalEnergies will be present in the newly created ‘Renewable Arena’, highlighting its growing presence in the Brazilian renewable energy market. This presence reinforces the company’s commitment to innovation and clean energies, in line with contemporary needs and challenges.
Planning For The Future
The event will be a major showcase for TotalEnergies to display not only its past achievements but also its plans for the future. The company’s multi-energy strategy is at the heart of this planning, showing how TotalEnergies intends to balance its commitment to renewable energy while continuing to explore opportunities in the pre-salt.
