Toyota, One of the Largest Automakers in the World, Surprises by Presenting the World’s First Hydrogen-Powered Pizza Oven
Toyota is expanding its innovations with the use of hydrogen energy technology, not only in the automotive sector but also in everyday applications. In partnership with Rinnai, a renowned Japanese kitchenware manufacturer, Toyota has created the world’s first hydrogen-powered pizza oven in the world.
This innovation will be showcased at the Japan Mobile Show this year and has already been used to prepare foods such as pizzas and croissants, standing out for its efficiency and sustainability.

The Toyota Pizza Oven
The major advantage of this pizza oven lies in the high combustion temperature provided by hydrogen, which allows for perfect cooking of foods, with a crispy exterior and soft interior, making it ideal for preparing a variety of dishes, such as vegetables and mushrooms.

In addition to offering superior performance, hydrogen-powered technology is also environmentally friendly, making the oven an attractive option for both gastronomy and environmental preservation.
Toyota has expanded this technology to other products, such as hydrogen-powered grills and cooktops, which are already being used at the company’s racing events. These advancements demonstrate the automaker’s technical strength and commitment to the diverse application of hydrogen energy in everyday products.
Toyota Has Not Succeeded in Everything

However, not all of Toyota’s initiatives in the use of hydrogen have been successful. In the automotive sector, for instance, the hydrogen-powered car Mirai has underperformed compared to expectations.
Nonetheless, the automaker has not given up and is launching the Crown sedan with a hydrogen system in Japan, as well as developing prototypes such as the GR Yaris H2 and GR Corolla H2, which use hydrogen-powered internal combustion engines.
Toyota intends to participate in future competitions, such as the Le Mans races, with the hydrogen-powered racing car GR H2 Racing.
These efforts highlight Toyota’s vision of popularizing hydrogen energy, making it more accessible and applicable in various areas of everyday life.
In addition to vehicles, the automaker is determined to show that hydrogen technology can significantly contribute to a more sustainable future, impacting both the automotive sector and domestic activities such as cooking.
