IFNMG Offers Free Course in Renewable Energy Systems Electrician: Registration Open, Enroll Now!

The Federal Institute of Northern Minas Gerais (IFNMG) has opened new doors for those looking to enter the renewable energy market. With the offering of the free Initial and Continuing Education (FIC) course in Renewable Energy Systems Electrician, IFNMG is providing 478 spots across various campuses in the region. The applications, which are free, begin on October 4th and are open to individuals over 18 years old with completed primary education level I, according to the G1 website.

Students participating in this electrician course will have the opportunity to learn about sizing, supervision, specification, installation, operation, and maintenance of photovoltaic systems, in accordance with technical and safety standards. The course aims to train qualified professionals to work with photovoltaic systems, a growing area in the renewable energy market.

The total course load for the electrician course is 200 hours, to be completed over three months, from November to February. The classes include theoretical and practical components, held in the evening, from Monday to Friday. The course will be conducted this year and the next, providing students with a solid foundation in renewable energy systems.

Registration for the Spots in the Free Electrician Course

Applications for the course must be made by filling out an electronic form specific to the desired campus, as the course is in-person and delivered in different locations. Candidates must also attach identification documents with a photo, CPF, and school records or a certificate/declaration of completion of primary education level I.

If the number of pre-enrollments and applications exceeds the number of available spots, the selection will be conducted by lottery. This lottery will be held online and broadcast live on the official IFNMG YouTube channel. The video will be available later for candidates’ consultation.
