Job Vacancies for Technicians Announced by SBM, One of the World Leaders in the Offshore Energy Sector for Activities on Tanker Ships
The Dutch SBM Offshore has job vacancies for technical high school and higher education professionals in various roles, as well as a Young Apprentice Program for Rio de Janeiro. Specializing in deep waters, the company recently won the bidding and will build the platform ship that will operate in the Mero 2 field in the Libra block.

Last week, SBM Offshore was pleased to announce that it has entered into a shareholder agreement with its long-time business partners Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) and Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK) regarding the sale of a 35.5% stake in special purpose companies related to the leasing and operation of the FPSO Sepetiba.
MC acquired 20% and NYK acquired a 15.5% stake in the companies. SBM Offshore is the operator and majority shareholder with the remaining 64.5% shareholding.

The FPSO Sepetiba is currently under construction. The FPSO will be deployed in the Mero field, offshore from the Santos Basin, Brazil, 180 kilometers from Rio de Janeiro, under a 22.5-year lease and operation contract with Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras). The FPSO delivery is scheduled for 2022.
The financial effects of this sale were anticipated in SBM Offshore’s guidance for the full year of 2019, provided in the Third Quarter Trading Update of this year.
