Fake Ads Offer Attractive Salaries In The Name Of The Post Office, Request Personal Data And Even A Registration Fee Of R$ 83.44.

The Post Office has issued an official note to alert the public about fake ads circulating on social media. These posts offer job vacancies in the name of the state-owned company, with salaries of up to R$ 3,200, along with benefits such as meal vouchers and health plans.

The most important thing is that the ads improperly use the Post Office’s logo and even symbols similar to the Brazilian flag.

They appear as sponsored content on platforms like Instagram and Facebook, directing users to fake websites that imitate government pages.

How The Scam Works

These sites request personal information, such as name, address, phone number, and email. Additionally, they require payment of a fee of R$ 83.44 for supposed registration in the selection process.

This detail makes the fraudulent intent clear, as official public competitions do not charge fees on third-party pages.

The misleading ad presents a false “Hiring Notice 2025” with positions such as receptionist, operational assistant, cleaning assistant, mail carrier, and young apprentice.

It promises reduced working hours, online registration, and hiring without previous experience, trying to attract victims with quick and accessible promises.

Official Position Of The Post Office

The company emphasized that it does not conduct any selection processes of this type. All hiring occurs exclusively through public competitions, with notices published on the official channels of the state-owned company.

Therefore, any offer outside this format should be ignored by the public.

Furthermore, the Post Office has informed that it has already contacted the Secretariat of Communication of the Presidency of the Republic and the Attorney General’s Office.

The objective is to take legal measures against those responsible for the fraud and reduce the circulation of fake ads.

Guidelines For The Public

The Post Office advises citizens to immediately disregard these contents and not to provide personal data on suspicious pages.

In case of doubt, it is possible to confirm official information by calling 4003-8210 (capitals and metropolitan regions) and 0800-881-8210 (other locations). Another option is the Contact Us channel available at www.correios.com.br.

In addition, the company emphasizes that public vigilance is essential to avoid similar scams. Checking official channels before any registration ensures safety and prevents financial and personal harm.
