Through the support of the Québec International Agency, the Canadian city's economic development agency, 50 large local companies operating in the information technology, health, industry and manufacturing sectors are looking for specialized Brazilian professionals to fill more than 200 job vacancies!

The Québec International agency promotes yet another virtual recruitment initiative for Journées Québec Amérique Latine workers. This is an initiative organized in partnership with the Ministry of Immigration, Francization and Integration (MIFI) and the Drummondville Economic Development Corporation (SDED).

Those who dream of living abroad can take a look at the more than 200 job openings. Registration is free and runs until September 27. Annual salaries for specialists in the area are between R$336 and R$456 per year.

In addition to a new career horizon, those selected for employment opportunities will find a diverse economy with one of the lowest unemployment rates in Canada. Montreal is even considered one of the most attractive cities to live and work in, according to the Millénariaux 2018 ranking.

“Brazilians are the most sought after by local companies, precisely because of their competence and ease of adaptation to Québec culture,” says the agency's director of international mobility, Sara Tapia. She also points out that this is the largest number of companies participating in a recruitment initiative in Latin America.

According to the Agency, more than 50 companies are looking for qualified professionals to occupy positions such as nurses, programmers, developers, industrial automation engineers, plasterers, electromechanics, machine operators, welders, industrial mechanics, among others.

Interviews with company managers will take place between October 25th and November 5th. Selected candidates will receive an invitation by email. If recruited, the professional will sign a temporary work contract, which can vary from one to three years. During this period, it is possible to take free online French courses, provided by the Ministry of Immigration, Francization and Integration.

Some job openings require at least two years of professional experience, academic training in the area and a good level of knowledge of the French language, which is the official language of Quebec. The “Quebec na Cabeça” platform specifies the requirements for each role and offers a variety of relevant information for anyone wanting to prepare an immigration project for the region. In addition, to facilitate the application process on the platform, several questions will be made available to candidates on September 2nd. Registration is free.

The province of Quebec stands out for its quality of life, security and tolerance of cultural diversity. Quebec City is the second largest economic center in the homonymous province and the seventh in Canada. It has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the last ten years (4,8%).
