Yamaha has updated the Fazer 250 for the 2025 line with a broad package of changes in design, electronics, and engine, maintaining the focus on urban use while bringing the model closer to higher category motorcycles in technology.
Produced in Manaus (AM), the naked 250 cc now offers a 59% larger digital display, Bluetooth connectivity via a proprietary app, full LED lighting, and ABS braking system on both wheels.
At launch, the suggested retail price was R$ 23,590 excluding freight, while the brand’s latest table indicates R$ 24,990 as the reference price in Brazil, also not including freight costs.

The new Renault Koleos has a screen exclusively for the passenger that is invisible to the driver, heated rear seats, and 29 assistance systems, but its Chinese competitors cost R$ 40,000 less and deliver more power.
Yamaha’s strategy is to strengthen the presence of the Fazer 250, also known as FZ25 Connected, in the medium-low displacement motorcycle segment, traditionally contested with the Honda CB 300F Twister.
To achieve this, the brand combined a more aggressive visual design, ergonomic improvements, and a connectivity package that positions the model among the most equipped in the 250 cc range.
Sporty Design and Full LED Lighting
The design of the Fazer 250 2025 has been reworked to enhance its urban and sporty proposal.
The front assembly has received new fairings around the headlight, with more angular lines and cuts that reference higher displacement models.
The side vents of the tank have been redesigned to create a more robust look while directing airflow to the engine area.
All lighting is now full LED, including the headlight, taillight, and turn signals.

This feature improves visibility on highways and urban traffic, as well as reducing electrical consumption compared to halogen bulbs.
The presence of daytime running lights (DRL) increases the motorcycle’s visibility to other drivers.
Yamaha has also revised finishing items.
The mirrors received a new design, with a more aerodynamic shape and redesigned stems to expand the field of vision.
The split seat has been updated with thicker foam and stiffness adjustments.
Regarding the tank, the motorcycle operates with a capacity close to 14 liters of fuel.
In part of the press release, there is a reference to 14.8 liters with 1.8 liters of reserve, while the latest technical sheet available indicates 14.2 liters.
Larger Display and Bluetooth Connectivity
One of the central advancements of the Fazer 250 2025 is in the instrument panel.
The LCD screen is 59% larger than that of the previous model.
The set remains fully digital and displays data such as speedometer, tachometer, gear indicator, average consumption, and system alerts.
The main novelty is the Bluetooth connectivity with the Yamaha Motorcycle Connect (Y-Connect) app.
After pairing the smartphone, the rider can monitor call and message notifications on the display, as well as the battery level icon of the phone.

Through the app, it is possible to monitor average consumption, mileage, battery voltage, and maintenance alerts.
The app also offers reminders for the last parking location.
To reinforce the use of smartphones in everyday life, the Fazer comes with a 12V socket near the handlebar, allowing the charging of electronic devices with the appropriate adapter.
Safety and Cycling for Urban Use
In the realm of active safety, Yamaha has maintained disc brakes on both wheels with standard ABS.
At the front, the disc measures 282 mm, and at the rear, 220 mm.
The system prevents wheel locking during emergency braking.
The front suspension uses a telescopic fork, while the rear gets a Monocross mono-shock, with preload adjustment.
In terms of dimensions, the Fazer 250 2025 maintains a wheelbase of 1,360 mm, a seat height of around 795 mm from the ground, and a ground clearance of 160 mm, which favor urban riding.
The chassis follows the diamond type.
The 17-inch wheels use 100/80 tires at the front and 140/70 at the rear.
In running order, the declared weight is approximately 151 kg.
21.3 hp Engine and Adaptation to Environmental Regulations
The mechanical set remains based on a single-cylinder 249 cc engine, air-cooled and assisted by an oil radiator.
The unit delivers 21.3 hp at 8,000 rpm and 2.1 kgfm of torque at 6,000 rpm.

The most relevant change is the removal of the flex system, making the model operate only on gasoline, in accordance with Promot 5.
Components such as a forged aluminum piston and ceramic-coated cylinder remain present.
The transmission remains a manual five-speed, designed to take advantage of the available torque at low and medium RPM.
Price, Colors, and Competition with the CB 300F Twister
When announced, the Fazer 250 2025 had a price of R$ 23,590 excluding freight.
Today it appears on the brand’s website for R$ 24,990, also excluding freight.
The model is available in different color combinations, such as matte gray, crystal white with golden wheels, metallic blue, and metallic red.
In after-sales, the motorcycle comes with a four-year warranty, superior to the three years of the competing Honda CB 300F Twister.
Honda’s rival starts at R$ 23,620 in the CBS version and R$ 24,580 in the ABS version, both with a flex engine and six-speed gearbox.
While the Twister bets on higher power and longer gears, the Fazer focuses on connectivity, extended warranty, and comprehensive safety package.
Does the reader, when comparing technology, price, and usage profile, consider that the new Fazer 250 delivers the ideal balance for daily use and short trips?
