Despite Brazil’s shipbuilding industry struggling with low demand for large-scale projects such as FPSOs and drilling units, there are high expectations for maximizing operations by support vessels in the coming years. Last week, we had a small glimpse of some successful projects in this segment in the national environment. Via Renato Oliveira

1 – Belov Shipyard, Bahia

The first was the delivery of 2 DSVs (Diving Support Vessels) BELOV AMARALINA and BELOV HUMAITÁ by the Belov shipyard in Bahia, in addition to the construction of the 2,000-ton dry dock BELOV ITAPOAN for the load-out of the DSVs. Congratulations to Marcos Campos and Alessandro Carnivali Garcia and the entire Belov shipyard !!!!

2 – Navship Shipyard, Santa Catarina

2) Navship Shipyard completed the conversion of two RSV (Remote Submersible Vehicle Support) vessels. Final tests and launching of the ROV in deep waters remain. Soon, they are expected to present themselves to Petrobras in Rio de Janeiro to start the new service contracts. Congratulations to the Navship Shipyard in Navegantes (SC)!

3 – P 70, Petrobras

3) Lastly, although manufactured in China, the P-70 began production in the Atapu field and had its first oil on 06/25, boosting a whole demand for support boats.
