The Adherence Process of CNOOC Oil Brazil to Existing Contracts of the Integrated Natural Gas Transport System of the Santos Basin Was Finalized, and Both Companies Signed the Contract of the Integrated Natural Gas Processing System (SIP) (SIE-BS).
According to a note from Petrobras released to the market on Monday (27), these agreements will allow CNOOC to directly supply the natural gas market by unloading natural gas from the Búzios field in the pre-salt of the Santos Basin via any of the export routes of the SIE-BS, and processing it in plants operated by Petrobras.
This Contract Between Petrobras and CNOOC Will Officially Start on January 1, 2023.
Petrobras stated that this is another step taken in the development of an open, competitive, and sustainable natural gas market and is part of the set of commitments made to the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) in July 2019.
The SIE-BS is formed by Routes 1, 2, and 3 for the transport of the pre-salt Cluster of the Santos Basin, and the SIP includes the processing plants connected to the SIE-BS, owned by Petrobras, located in Caraguatatuba, São Paulo, Cabiúnas, and Itaboraí, which is under development, all in Rio de Janeiro.
