IFRO Opens Notice with 13 Free Language Courses in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Registrations Open Between 25/8 and 3/9. In-Person and E-Learning Spots.
The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rondônia (IFRO), through the Porto Velho Calama Campus, has launched Notice No. 161/2025 for the offering of 13 free language courses, aimed at both the internal community (students and staff) and the external community.
The selection process begins on August 25, 2025, and runs until September 3, with opportunities available both in-person and in E-learning mode, expanding access to language training for the entire society.
Available Courses and Distribution of Spots
The notice for the language course at IFRO offers 13 different modules in English, Spanish, and Portuguese for foreigners. The spots are limited and distributed according to the following structure:

Study Animal Husbandry via Distance Learning and 100% free: Senar opens 905 spots in 12 states with a 1,200-hour technical course recognized by MEC, lasting 2 years, and featuring hybrid classes with a mandatory in-person component.

- Basic English – Module 1: 20 spots (10 for external community and 10 for internal community);
- Basic English – Module 2: 2 remaining spots (1 external and 1 internal);
- Basic English – Module 3: 9 remaining spots (5 external and 4 internal);
- Intermediate English – Module 2: 5 remaining spots (3 external and 2 internal);
- Basic Spanish – Module 2: 2 remaining spots (1 external and 1 internal);
- Basic Spanish – Module 3 (E-Learning): 13 remaining spots (7 external and 6 internal);
- Intermediate Spanish – Module 2: 14 spots (7 external and 7 internal).
These options make the language courses accessible to different profiles, fostering linguistic improvement in Rondônia.
Who Can Participate and How to Register
Anyone aged at least 14 with completed Elementary School II may register for the selection process.
Interested parties must access the online form available from 6 PM on August 25 until the closing on September 3 at 11:59 PM.
The selection will be made by the order of registration, and for some English courses — such as Basic II and III or Books, Movies, and Talks – Advanced — it will be necessary to take an online placement test from August 21 to August 24.
The preliminary results will be released on September 5, and the final results on September 10.

Modalities: In-Person and Distance Learning
IFRO adopts flexible formats for its language course. There are in-person spots at the Porto Velho Calama Campus, but also E-learning options, such as Basic Spanish – Module 3, which allows access to training at a distance.
