BYD Dolphin Mini surprises and stands out in the ranking of the best-selling electric cars in August in Brazil; see which models are dominating the sustainable vehicle market
The electric cars in Brazil continues to grow, and the big highlight of August was the BYD Dolphin Mini, which made an impressive recovery after a weak performance in the previous month. Even with the increase in taxes, the darling of BYD achieved a significant increase in sales, ending the month as leader in the category, further consolidating itself on the list of best-selling electric cars in Brazil in August.
On the other hand, the BYD Dolphin, its larger โbrotherโ, suffered a drop in sales and ended up taking second place.
Among the factors that may explain the success of BYD Dolphin Mini is the launch of the 2025 line, which brought a new version with capacity for five passengers. This change made the model more attractive, including for app drivers looking for economical vehicles with more interior space.
