Brazilian working as a bricklayer in Portugal shares eight-month experience in the Algarve, says he arrived in the country with job and housing arranged, claims to have bought a house and car in four months, and points to salary as the main reason for temporarily staying outside Brazil.
A bricklayer in Portugal claims to have bought a house and a car in just four months after leaving Brazil with his family to work in construction in the Algarve, in the south of the country.
The account was given by Elias Gomes, from the channel No dia a dia, during a recording on a beach in the Algarve, where he shared his experience after completing eight months living in Portugal.
Brazilian arrived with job and housing arranged
Elias stated that he did not travel alone. He decided to move with his entire family after receiving an invitation from a friend who had been in Portugal for a longer time.

Bricklayer in Portugal reports higher salary
In the video, the Brazilian declared that, considering the conversion to Brazilian currency, a bricklayer in Portugal working in finishing can earn about R$ 40,000 per month.
He stated that this amount refers to a routine from 6 am to 4 pm, without overtime. For Elias, the salary was the main factor that made the move advantageous.
House in Brazil helped at the beginning
The house he owned in Brazil was rented out in the first few months and helped with initial expenses in Portugal. Later, according to the account, he managed to acquire a house with three bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, and bathroom.
Elias intends to stay in Portugal longer to save money and buy new properties, but he expressed affection for Brazil and plans to return in the future.
