Chery QQ 2026 Debuts at Chengdu Auto Show with Modern Design, Technology, and Powerful Electric Motor. Meet the New Electric Hatch.
What has changed in the Chery QQ 2026? Chery unveiled the long-awaited Chery QQ 2026 at the Chengdu Auto Show 2025 in China, an electric hatch that marks the return of one of the brand’s most iconic models.
Unlike the subcompact that won over Brazilians in the 2000s as one of the cheapest cars in the country, the new QQ arrives larger, more sophisticated, and fully electric, targeting consumers looking for technology and connectivity.
The new model is expected to debut in the Chinese market by the end of 2025 and aims to compete with rivals like the Geely Xingyuan.

A taxi that takes off vertically, crosses 150 miles at a speed of 320 km/h, and lands without a runway has already completed 850 test flights in 2025, and is 100 times quieter than a conventional helicopter, which means it can operate over residential neighborhoods and enter commercial service as early as 2026.
Chery QQ 2026: How Did the Design of the Electric Hatch Look?
The new Chery QQ has abandoned the simple lines of the past and now bets on a modern, rounded look that resembles premium models like the earlier generations of the Mini Countryman.
It is built on the T12 electric platform, measuring 4.2 meters in length and with a wheelbase over 2.7 meters, ensuring more interior space and comfort.
At the front, the oval headlights and the taillights refer to the same set, creating harmony in the design.
The model also features sporty wheels, fluid lines, and even a front trunk of 70 liters, a common feature in high-end electric cars.
Technological and Minimalist Interior
Inside, the Chery QQ 2026 surprises with refined finishes and premium functionality. The rectangular digital dashboard integrates with a 15.6-inch floating central screen with 2.5K resolution, running an advanced multimedia system with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip.
It offers support for CarPlay, HiCar, and CarLink, as well as voice commands based on generative AI.
Among the highlights are:
256 Ambient Lighting Colors;
50 W Wireless Charger;
Differentiated Driving Modes (camping, pet, and sentinel);
Innovative Options, such as an air freshener and built-in refrigerator.
Safety and Autonomous Driving in the New Chery QQ
The model debuts with the Falcon 500 system, which features navigation automatic pilot (NOA) and automatic parking in different scenarios.
In addition, it offers six airbags and a complete package of driving assistants, ensuring advanced level safety for the electric hatch segment.
Electric Motor and Performance
Under the hood – or rather, under the body – the Chery QQ 2026 features a rear motor of 90 kW (121 hp) integrated into a high-efficiency 11-in-1 system.
The rear suspension is an independent multi-link, which should improve comfort and stability.
Although battery and range data have not yet been disclosed, expectations are that it will be close to competitors like BYD Dolphin and GWM Ora 03.
Price and Market Arrival: Is Brazil on the List?
Chery confirmed that the new QQ will be launched in China by the end of 2025. However, the brand has not yet revealed prices or confirmed its arrival in Brazil.
If this happens, it will be an interesting contrast: the model that was once the cheapest car in the country – sold for R$ 22,900 in the 2000s – is now positioned as a sophisticated electric hatch, aligned with global electrification trends.
