U.S. Company Announces New ‘End of the World’ Pickup That Delivers 850 Horsepower and Kevlar Armor. Costing R$ 1.5 Million, Modified Model Is a RAM 1500 TRX.

A new pickup that came off the production line as a regular Ram 1500 TRX has been modified with a six-wheel layout, Kevlar-covered body, and now delivers 850 horsepower to match its fierce appearance. Dubbed the ‘end of the world’ pickup, this modification has been catching the attention of enthusiasts in the U.S.

The ‘End of the World’ Pickup Can Reach Speeds of Up to 228 km/h

The result of this modification is the Apocalypse Juggernaut 6×6. The “tuned” model goes from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, reaches speeds of up to 228 km/h, and features an eight-speed automatic transmission. The new U.S. ‘end of the world’ pickup also uses black Kevlar armor and custom body panels. The Kevlar is designed to deflect rocks, dirt, and all types of projectiles commonly encountered on highways.

An elevation kit has also raised the vehicle further off the ground and prepared it to tackle any type of terrain. The six-wheel monster also comes with a washable interior, ready for adverse weather conditions, as well as a 12-inch infotainment screen.

The team that transformed the truck, from Dupont Registry, claims that the new ‘end of the world’ pickup is large enough to accommodate a tall NBA player. Shaquille O’Neal, for example, is one of the owners of an Apocalypse but in the four-wheel configuration. Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic also owns an Apocalypse Hellfire 6×6 in his garage.

The unit of Apocalypse featured in the images above is for sale in West Palm Beach, Florida, for US$ 269,999, over R$ 1.5 million. For comparison, the same amount can buy three brand new regular RAM 1500 TRXs in the U.S.

What a RAM 1500 TRX Looks Like Without Modifications

Without the modifications that turned it into a new ‘end of the world’ pickup, the RAM 1500 TRX continues to impress with its power and bold design. Although it has been discontinued and was never officially sold in Brazil, some units were brought in for testing, showcasing the potential and luxury that this vehicle offers.

With a look reminiscent of a dinosaur’s strength, the 1500 TRX boasts robust features, setting a standard in the full-size pickup category. Despite its imposing stature, measuring 5.92 meters in length and 2.24 meters in width, the truck impresses with its specifications and presence.

Apocalypse Pickups Are Becoming Popular

Apocalypse Manufacturing decided that the Land Rover Defender, on its own, was not good enough for the end of the world and required some improvements. Now, the new ‘end of the world’ pickup has gained another pair of wheels, transforming the standard Defender into an incredible 6×6, whose name has become World Ender. In fact, this is the specialty of Apocalypse.

Besides the Land Rover, the modifier also has versions of this type for other vehicles, such as the Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator, along with “post-apocalyptic” modifications of the Ford Bronco, Rivian R1T, and others.

In the V8 of the Land Rover Defender, the company has not changed anything; it is the same 5.0 gasoline engine with 525 hp and 63.7 kgfm torque. What changed was its exhaust outlet, moved from the rear to the side. The military wheels are 20 inches and are equally extravagant, but not as much as the giant 38-inch tires with a quiet central tread, which promise to reduce road noise.

Se alguém comprou uma picape do fim do mundo por esse valor, pode ser um sobrevivencialista que tem um bunker com suprimentos, inclusive combustível, estocado pra anos, isso se não fabricar o próprio combustível
