Duna Uribe, commercial director of the Pecém Complex, spares no effort to promote the Port Terminal and attract investments to the state of Ceará. The executive highlighted the business potential in the state based on recent investments and the partnership with the Port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
“We are very excited to be participating, with a booth, in this fair that gathers major players in the maritime industry. We are living in a special moment after many in-person limitations. So, the expectation is very high to position Pecém as a strategic point for those who want to do business in Brazil, to do business in an industrial and port complex that attracts attention due to the partnership with the Port of Rotterdam. Therefore, we will detail this partnership to European investors, in addition to showing that Pecém is the home of green hydrogen in Brazil,” said Duna.

It doesn’t stop there; the business environment in Ceará is also being promoted during the Brazil Network Day (BND), an initiative for promoting trade and investments organized by the Brazilian Embassy in The Hague.
“We are looking forward to participating in Brazil Network Day, a very traditional event that will give us the opportunity to present the various business possibilities that Ceará, including the Pecém Complex, has to offer. We hope to achieve good results from this meeting, as we will have a qualified audience of potential investors for the state,” said Maia Júnior, Secretary of Economic Development and Labor of Ceará.
And British Petroleum, the UK’s Petrobras, has already expressed interest in implementing an oil & gas and hydrogen project in Pecém. Maia Júnior will have a meeting on Wednesday with Shell in Rotterdam.
Large multinational companies have truly discovered Ceará and its potential for renewable energy generation, the proven capacity of its academia to train and qualify professionals for new branches of science, the creativity of its entrepreneurs, its strategic geographic location, and the government’s commitment to sustainable development.
