Vazirani Automotive’s Electric Car Will Be the Lightest in the World
Vazirani reported that its hypercar will weigh only around 738 kg. If this is indeed confirmed when the Ekonk is launched in India. It is a “single-seater” that allegedly uses specially designed batteries, with an air-cooling system. The brand calls this technology DiCo, inspired by biomimicry used by animals to regulate their body temperature through breathing.
According to the company, the two electric motors of the Indian hypercar could release a total of 732 horsepower. Its power will specifically be 1 hp per kilogram, meaning the Ekonk from India will come promising incredible performance.
Speed and Performance of the Indian Electric Car
The official data released by Vazirani Automotive regarding acceleration and top speed of the hypercar highlight that the vehicle can go from 0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and has a top speed of 309 km/h.
In 2018, the company revealed to the world at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, a famous automotive festival, its futuristic hybrid supercar model, which operated with a gasoline engine plus four electric units. Filled with expectations, we now just have to wait for the official launch of the Ekonk project and see if this project will indeed go ahead, as many hope.
If the vehicle truly delivers on everything that has been promised so far, it will be a direct competitor to various companies in the automotive sector, potentially outpacing the Porsche Taycan, which weighs about 1/3 more than the Ekonk. The Porsche is expected to stand alongside the estimated Rimac Nevera. The Croatian electric hypercar has about 1,914 hp, weighs around 2 tons, and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.9 seconds.
