SCGÁS, the Natural Gas Distributor from Santa Catarina, Has Just Received the Carbon Emission Neutralization Certificate Issued by Climate Neutral Group (CNG), an International Consultancy Specialized in Sustainability and Climate Change.
The certification proves that the company has managed to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions and offset the remaining emissions by purchasing carbon credits. According to SCGÁS, carbon emission neutralization is one of the actions taken by the company to fulfill its commitment to sustainability. Additionally, the distributor has been investing in energy efficiency projects and renewable energy sources to minimize its environmental impact.
According to Cósme Polêse, the CEO of SCGÁS, the certification is an important achievement for the company and the state of Santa Catarina. “Carbon emission neutralization is one of the most effective ways to combat climate change, and SCGÁS is committed to doing its part. Furthermore, this certification puts us in a prominent position in the market, showing that we are a company committed to sustainability,” he stated.
