Two Hydroelectric Plants in Tocantins Are Considered the Best in Brazil by ANEEL
This time, the first and second places went to the Peixe Angical and Lajeado plants, respectively, both located in the state of Tocantins.
Last year, the best hydroelectric plant was also from the EDP group. The UHE Lajeado was the one chosen at that time.
ANEEL evaluated 148 energy generation plants in two distinct phases, between December 2019 and April 2020. The UHE Peixe Angical, located in Tocantins, was rated 99.40 in the overall ranking, scoring maximum points in five of the six listed topics: environment, safety, operation management, maintenance management, and operation and maintenance.
The second place, the UHE Lajeado, also situated in Tocantins, received top marks in four of them.
Together, the evaluated hydroelectric plants are responsible for the production of 93,327.35 MW, approximately 54% of the national generation capacity.
