Equatorial Energy Stands Out in the Solar Energy Market
The purchase of the northeastern company promises to contribute to Equatorial Energy’s operation in a new sector of the electric market, focusing on offering technical solutions in energy efficiency and electric power generation through solar energy, mainly through distributed generation, allowing the company to advance its value creation strategy.
Meet One of the Largest Solar Energy Companies in the Northeast
Founded in 2013, and according to data from the Portal Solar, a pioneer in solar energy in Brazil, E-Nova is the leader in Maranhão and ranks fifth among companies in the Northeast.

Advancement in renewable energy: A R$ 150 million project launched by Petrobras and Finep aims to create state-of-the-art electrolyzers for green hydrogen, strengthening national research and preparing Brazil to compete in a billion-dollar energy market.

Illiterate or semi-literate grandmothers were trained to repair solar systems, open rural workshops, and light up homes that still depended on kerosene.
-
The world has bet on green hydrogen as the fuel of the future, but now faces the side effect: producing 1 kilogram requires about 9 liters of ultrapure water, and the largest projects on the planet are precisely in the driest regions of the Earth, where water is already scarce for people.
-
Africa has about 500,000 cell towers and most still burn diesel to operate, while companies rush to cover antennas with solar energy and avoid signal blackouts.
In total, the company has installed around 25,000 panels and about 650 solar power plants for industry as well as for commerce, residences, and even agribusiness.
Its panels generate about 1.5 million kWh/month of energy for its clients and also save R$ 1.5 million per month on electricity bills, reducing costs and generating more investment opportunities for everyone. Even focused on the northeast, the company is present in all Brazilian regions with its partners like SolarVolt, Seltec, Smart Sol, Ative, Eco, and several others.
Equatorial Energy Continues Investing in Solar Energy Generation in Several Brazilian States
In recent months, Equatorial has invested in its sustainability project with charging points for electric cars and bicycles for the population. Two northeastern states have already been confirmed to receive the project: Rangedor Park in São Luís, Maranhão, and also the Citizenship Park in Teresina – Piauí.
Teresina was the first to sign the agreement with Equatorial Energy and, in addition to receiving the charging point, it will also receive an electric car that will be part of the police fleet. The bicycles will be for the recreation of the residents of the Citizenship Park. Soon after, Maranhão was the second to sign the agreement and will receive the same as Piauí. The electric bicycles will be for the recreation of the residents of Rangedor Park.
