In parallel, the Deral Economic Bulletin presents a broader overview of state agriculture, including climatic impacts on soybeans, advances in barley, retractions in milk, and the dynamism of horticulture, reinforcing the productive diversity of Paraná.
Asian Animal Protein Market as a Strategic Vector
The growth of exports reached 22.18 thousand tons in October, representing a 7.9% increase compared to the same month in 2024.
This number solidified the second-largest monthly result ever recorded, second only to the record of September 2025, when 25.18 thousand tons were sent abroad.
The continued presence of the Philippines, which increased its imports by 61.6% in the annual comparison, reinforces the central role of the Asian market.
In this scenario, the export of pork in Paraná also gains strength with markets like Singapore, Georgia, and the United Arab Emirates, whose demand keeps the flow stable.
Meanwhile, the additional demand from African countries, such as Angola and Ivory Coast, broadens the range of destinations and strengthens external sales throughout 2025.
Global Dynamics and Pork Exports in Paraná in New Markets
The accumulated volume between January and October reached 195.16 thousand tons, surpassing by 11.47 thousand tons the entire movement recorded in 2024, which was then the largest in the historical series.
This performance reaffirms the growth of external sales and marks the most intense pace ever observed in ten months.
In the broader agricultural context, the Deral bulletin points out that the storms at the beginning of November caused significant damage to soybean crops, affecting approximately 270 thousand hectares.
Of these, 80 thousand hectares will need to be replanted, and another 190 thousand are expected to show reduced productivity, particularly in the regions of Campo Mourão, Londrina, and Maringá.
In contrast, barley experienced rapid evolution, increasing from 56% to 83% of the harvested area in just one week, especially in Entre Rios, Guarapuava.

In horticulture, the State recorded in 2024 a gross production value (VBP) of R$ 7.1 billion, corresponding to 3.8% of the R$ 188.3 billion of the Paraná agribusiness.
There were 115.8 thousand hectares cultivated and 2.9 million tons harvested, with an emphasis on potatoes, tomatoes, and cassava “in natura.”
Regional diversity is also evident: Curitiba concentrates R$ 2.4 billion of the VBP, followed by Guarapuava, Ponta Grossa, Apucarana, and Jacarezinho.
Amid this multifaceted scenario, the export of pork in Paraná reinforces its relevance by ending the year with new historical milestones and expanding Brazil’s participation in the market.
