Industry Authorities Comment On Vestas’ Wind Turbines In Bahia
According to Eduardo Ricotta, President of Vestas in Latin America, Omega is one of the leaders in the Brazilian market when it comes to wind energy, and Vestas is right to ensure the competitiveness and reliability of wind turbines along with the new service contract for the Bahia plant.
He also states that Vestas is very proud to have reached the milestone of 5 GW, making the V150-4.2 MW wind turbine the best-selling model of all time in the country. This shows that the turbine has an excellent fit with Brazilian wind conditions and its levelized cost of energy.
According to Eduardo Ricotta, Vestas plans to deliver the wind turbines by the second half of 2022, with commissioning expected in the first quarter of 2023.
