The Automotive Sector Has Reinvented Itself With The Use Of Energy. This Is Happening In Order To Take Advantage Of The Benefits That Electric Energy Provides When Compared To Traditional Fuels
Electric energy represents a cleaner and more practical source when it comes to refueling, unlike fossil fuels such as gasoline and diesel. Another important advantage is that energy does not impair vehicle performance. Thus, electric cars have a range of about 400 kilometers and achieve power levels comparable to combustion engines, which is why even automakers believe that, in the near future, electric energy will occupy a large part of the space currently held by fuels.

On the other hand, a question arises that goes beyond the discussion of fossil fuels or electric energy: are houses, apartments, condominiums, or buildings prepared to receive this technology?
Considering that this transition from fuels to electricity may be closer than imagined, it is important to find an answer to this question. Unlike a cell phone or a blender, a car that weighs over a ton will not be charged by a simple home outlet.

Solving this problem is more complex, as it involves modern engineering projects that adapt refueling points for each parking space in garages. Since the topic at hand is electric energy, it is known that the increase in demand for it will result in greater performance from hydroelectric plants, which, until now, are the main sources of energy in Brazil. All of this must, therefore, be considered in engineering and architecture solutions for the coming years.
Relationship Between Electric Energy And Solar Energy
First of all, this change should start with the installation of solar panels with high energy production capacity. However, considering that most people who acquire a property take out loans for 15 years or more, it is assumed they will live in the location for a long period, even when electric-powered vehicles reach popularity. For this reason, attention must be paid to future adaptations, which also include the provision of smart and sustainable control of what is not done internally, not just the supply of energy.
Currently, there are already managers that follow the demands: when there is high electricity consumption throughout the condominium, the charging of cars is suspended. With the reduction in electricity consumption throughout the day, the manager resumes charging the vehicles that are plugged in. This method ensures sustainability and, consequently, energy savings for condominiums, even with the presence of these cars.
The discussion is not just about future changes but what is already true in engineering projects. To illustrate the increase in this need, the International Energy Agency (IEA) reported that, in the first quarter of 2021, sales of vehicles that do not use fossil fuels increased by 140% worldwide. According to the Agency, in 2020, the world spent US$ 120 billion on the purchase of electric cars.
