Named Almirante Barroso, the FPSO Búzios 5 was contracted to the Japanese Modec, which ordered four modules from Estaleiros do Brasil, in RS, and two from the Brasfels shipyard in Angra dos Reis, in RJ. The unit is being built by Cosco in China.
The integration of the FPSO Cidade de Campos dos Goytacazes (P-74) was done in Rio Grande do Sul by the EBR shipyard, with the P-74 being the first of the four platforms to be installed in the Búzios field.
The hulls of all FPSOs operating in the asset were partly converted by the Enseada Indústria Naval group in Rio de Janeiro, and partly in Asian shipyards, which also integrated the P-75 and P-77. The P-76 was integrated by Techint in Pontal do Paraná (PR).
The construction and operation of the FPSO Itapu are being bid by Petrobras, with proposal submissions scheduled for April 20.
