Producers in São Paulo Can Now Finance Irrigation and Tractors with Credit of Up to R$ 5 Million and Reduced Interest Rates.
The Government of the State of São Paulo is offering new lines of credit with reduced interest rates for rural producers who wish to invest in irrigation or modernize their machinery.
This initiative is a partnership between the Secretary of Agriculture and Supply and Desenvolve SP, the State’s development agency.
Focusing on practicality and easy access, the programs aim to increase productivity and provide more security to the agricultural sector in São Paulo.

Irriga+ Line Focuses on Water Security
Launched at the end of 2024, the Irriga+ line offers specific credit for irrigation systems.
The aim is to ensure production even during drought periods.
The line allows final rates between 4.81% and 9.87% per year, with a subsidy of 6% to 8% funded by the Paulista Agribusiness Expansion Fund (Feap).
Financing can reach R$ 5 million, with a repayment term of up to 60 months and a grace period of up to 18 months.
Credit for Agricultural Machinery
The modernization of equipment is also a key focus.
São Paulo led tractor sales in 2024, with over 7,000 units sold, representing 21% of the national market.
Nonetheless, the sector still feels the effects of financing rates and the economic scenario.
To support producers, Desenvolve SP launched the Agro Máquinas line in April.
Targeted at the purchase or modernization of agricultural machinery, the line offers rates starting from 12.81% per year for micro and small producers, with a ceiling of R$ 5 million and a term of up to 60 months, with no grace period.
More Access with Changes to Feap
The Government of São Paulo has also changed the rules of Feap. Now it allows up to 100% of the producer’s income to come from agricultural activity, with a ceiling of R$ 3 million.
Previously, there were restrictions that hindered access to credit for those who dedicated themselves exclusively to the field.
This way, the State expands credit access and reinforces its commitment to the development of the Paulista agribusiness.
