Test of the Cars With Tiago Channel Compares Two Driving Styles and Shows How the 2015 Honda Civic Can Almost Double Its Efficiency Using Only 2 Liters of Gasoline
The Cars With Tiago channel released a video on its social media showcasing an interesting test to evaluate how many kilometers the 2015 Honda Civic automatic can cover on just 2 liters of gasoline.
The experience was conducted on the highway, at cruising speed, and with the air conditioning on, following the same standard throughout.
First Round Evaluates Smooth Driving
Before the main test, the tank was completely emptied. Then, 2 liters of gasoline were added, and the odometer was reset to accurately record the mileage.

It is not the oil-bathed belt: Chevrolet Sonic addresses complaints from Onix owners with an unprecedented change in the design, new suspension, MTV technology in the shock absorbers, and fuel consumption of up to 14.8 km/l. Chevrolet Sonic addresses complaints from Onix owners. And it is not the belt.
According to Tiago, the result was surprising. The Civic achieved 35.4 kilometers, which corresponds to an average of 17 kilometers per liter.
The host highlighted that this was the same average obtained previously in models like Fit and Argo 1.0, always under the same conditions.
He emphasized that driving smoothly, keeping the engine RPM low, is crucial for achieving good fuel economy.
Second Round Tests Aggressive Driving
To compare the impact of driving style, the test was repeated with another 2 liters of gasoline, but this time with strong acceleration. The goal was to check how much consumption would change with aggressive driving.
After running out of fuel again, the dashboard registered 14.9 kilometers traveled, equivalent to 7.5 kilometers per liter. The difference between the two approaches was significant, highlighting how the driver’s behavior directly affects fuel consumption.
Conclusion Highlights Importance of Driving Style
The video reinforces the message that consumption is a direct result of how the driver drives. In the comparison, driving smoothly almost doubled the Civic’s fuel efficiency with the same amount of fuel, while aggressive driving drastically reduced efficiency under the same conditions.
