The Federal Institute of Southeast Minas Gerais has opened 1,320 free vacancies in distance technical courses for entry in the second semester of 2026.
The opportunities are aimed at students in the 2nd or 3rd year of high school and also candidates who have already completed this educational stage.
The selection will be made without an exam, through an electronic public lottery scheduled for June 24, 2026, with live broadcast on the official IF Sudeste MG YouTube channel.

Free technical courses at IF Sudeste MG in 2026
The vacancies are part of Notice No. 19/2026 and include technical courses in the distance learning mode, with on-site activities scheduled according to the chosen campus.
In total, there are 11 offerings distributed among seven units of the institute in Minas Gerais.
Among the available courses are Internet Computing, Agribusiness, and Marketing, three options frequently sought by young people looking for professional qualification still during high school or right after completing basic education.
There are also vacancies for the courses of Computing and Systems Development, according to the distribution defined by the notice.

Who can participate in the EaD technical courses
Students regularly enrolled in the 2nd or 3rd year of high school at another educational institution can apply.
In this case, the candidate takes the technical course at IF Sudeste MG while continuing high school at their original school.
This form of entry is called concurrent/subsequent in the notice.
In practice, it allows the student to advance in professional training even before finishing basic education, without having to leave the school where they are already enrolled.
Candidates who have already completed high school, regardless of the year of completion, can also participate.
For this audience, the technical course functions as a post-basic education training, focusing on qualification for the job market.

IF Sudeste MG informs that the courses are offered in the distance learning mode, but with a percentage of in-person classes at each campus.

In the Agribusiness area, also lasting one and a half years, the focus is on rural management, commercialization, logistics, technologies applied to the field, and notions related to the organization of agricultural production.
Technical Course in Marketing
The technical course in Marketing, offered in Ubá, lasts one year.
The program includes content related to communication, market analysis, consumer behavior, social networks, e-commerce, and advertising strategies.
Electronic Draw Replaces Written Exam
The selection process does not include an objective test, essay, or analysis of school records.
The classification will be determined by a public electronic draw among candidates with approved registration, according to the rules of the notice.
When the number of applicants is equal to or less than the number of vacancies in a given offer, there will be no draw for that course.
In this situation, all candidates are classified, following the criteria set by IF Sudeste MG.
The provisional classification is scheduled for June 25, 2026, one day after the draw.
The final result of the selection process is expected to be announced on July 20, 2026, according to the official schedule.
Dates of the IF Sudeste MG Selection Process
Registrations began on April 22, 2026, and remain open until May 15, 2026.
The provisional result of the registrations is scheduled for May 22, while the final list of registrants is expected to be released on June 16.
The draw for the vacancies is set for June 24, 2026.
After that, candidates should follow the provisional ranking, appeal deadlines, and the publication of the final result, which precedes the enrollment stage.
