Chico Mendes Institute Launched Notice for Hiring 134 Firefighting Brigadiers
The Chico Mendes Institute (ICMBio) opened yesterday, Wednesday (28), a selection process for hiring 134 brigadiers to work in the firefighting sector for wildfires. The brigadiers will operate in the federal conservation parks of the Federal District, namely: Brasília National Park, Brasília National Forest, and the Environmental Protection Area of the Central Plateau.
The Notice provides for the hiring of 17 squad leaders and 117 brigadiers. Although approved, even if they continue working in the conservation units of Brasília, the brigadiers will be part of the Ready Employment Brigade and may be called to act anywhere in the national territory in case of emergencies.
Candidates will have to go through a pre-selection process, which includes physical fitness tests and the ability to use specific equipment. Candidates who pass this first stage will still have to undergo a curriculum analysis before joining the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio) team.
