R$ 2.5 Billion Investment by Statkraft for Construction of Wind Parks in Bahia Could Revolutionize the Renewable Industry.
The construction of the Wind Power Complex – Ventos de Santa Eugênia has begun, led by Statkraft Brasil in Uibaí, Bahia, with an investment equivalent to more than 2 billion reais. The wind power project is expected to be inaugurated in 2023, with the company more than doubling the installed capacity in the country, reaching 967 MW.

The investment involves 10 wind parks, totaling 91 turbines, near other wind parks operated by the company in Bahia, with an estimated investment of R$ 2.5 billion. The project is expected to generate the equivalent of 2.3 TWh in wind energy per year, enough to supply 1.17 million Brazilian households.
The company’s strategy behind this investment is to triple its renewable energy generation capacity by 2025. According to data from the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel), wind energy is the second most utilized source in Brazil, accounting for only 9.1%.

Statkraft’s Investment in Wind Energy Reinforces Its Commitment to Sustainability and Allows Future Generations to Enjoy Bahia’s Growth.
Paula Suano, Business Development Director at Statkraft in Brazil, states:

Creation of New Jobs in Bahia
More than 200 professionals have been hired since the start of the construction in Bahia. The expectation is that approximately 750 people will be hired during the entire construction of the wind energy park. Currently, there are 15 job openings available for the selection process. The positions are for construction laborers and do not require prior experience.
Seta Engenharia has been hired to manage the admissions process during this period due to its expertise in the market and having similar values to Statkraft. The company operates in heavy civil construction and focuses on executing projects and earthworks for wind, hydroelectric, solar, and other energy generation projects.
