About Infra Week
The sale of the assets concluded a week that began with the auction to grant 22 airports to the private sector for up to 30 years, yielding around R$ 3.3 billion, and a section of the West-East Integration Railway (Fiol, in Bahia) to Bamin.
The government’s concession program has already auctioned 41 assets and contracted R$44 billion in investment and another R$ 13 billion in grants, all in just two years. For this year, the Palácio do Planalto aims to grant over 50 ventures, which would ensure more than R$ 140 billion for the sector. The Federal Government expects to end 2022 with R$ 250 billion contracted in infrastructure.
