Get to Know Replan
Replan is the largest refinery in the country in processing capacity of oil, with a processing capacity of 69 thousand cubic meters per day, equivalent to 434 thousand barrels. Its production accounts for about 20% of all oil refining in the country, processing almost all domestic oil, much of which comes from the Santos Basin.
The refinery in SP is connected to the São Sebastião Terminal, Barueri Terminal, and Guararema Terminal. In addition, Replan is also interconnected to the Terminals of the Distributors of the Paulínia Pool, Petrobras Distribuidora, and the Liquigás Base for LPG.
It is important to note that the refinery was inaugurated in 1972, when the city had just been politically emancipated from Campinas. Its construction began in 1969, and the area where it is located belonged to the former Fazenda São Francisco, which was divided and donated to Petrobras by the City Hall of Paulínia (SP).
The city was strategically selected for the installation of Brazil’s largest refinery, considering that the municipality is only 118 km from the São Paulo capital and its location allows for greater ease of transport, being inserted in a context of great facilities, with access to major transport routes, railways, highways, and much more.
