The Investment Was Made by Remotia Infrastructure, Which Established 3 Solar Power Plants in Two Different Cities in the State of Minas Gerais
Remotia Energetic Infrastructure, a company dedicated to solar energy, made an investment of approximately R$ 50 million in three plants in the state of Minas Gerais for solar energy generation. Two of the plants are located in the municipality of Baldim, with a total installed capacity of around 5.5 megawatts-peak (MWp). The third plant, in Sacramento (Alto Paranaíba), has a capacity of 4.6 MWp, according to the website Diário do Comércio.
Standing out as an example of green credit in Minas Gerais, one of the solar power plants in Baldim received financing through the BDMG Sustainability credit line, making Remotia one of the pioneers to benefit from this financing line, which aims to provide resources raised from the European Investment Bank (EIB) for sustainable projects.
With the financing, the Baldim plant in Minas Gerais was able to be established and become a reference in solar energy in the state. The installed capacity of approximately 2.66 megawatts (MW) of the plant contributes to the generation of around 5 thousand MWh/year of electricity from the sun, benefiting the region with a clean and renewable source of electricity.

Implementation of the Plants Was Validated by the State Policy of Minas Gerais
In addition to being recognized as a success case in green credit, the implementation of Remotia’s plants was made possible by the State Policy for Incentives for the Use of Solar Energy in Minas Gerais. This pioneering policy in the state promotes tax incentives to boost the productive chain of the sector, driving investments and technological development.
Ricardo Castro, managing partner of Remotia, highlights that the solar power plant project in Minas Gerais started in 2016, when this energy source began to gain traction in the state and in Brazil. After two years of studies and the formation of a group of investors, the project was made possible, going through all the necessary licensing and authorization processes.
Remotia’s plants in Baldim, Minas Gerais, stand out for their 24-hour remote control capability. With about 8,200 solar panels and 24 inverters, the company individually monitors each group of panels and equipment, ensuring efficient operation and facilitating the identification of potential problems.
Solar Power Plants Are a Reference in Sustainable Development
The visit of the vice president of the EIB, Ricardo Mourinho, to the plant in Baldim highlights the importance of the project as a reference for the development of other sustainable initiatives. This partnership between the EIB and Remotia reinforces the commitment to promoting the transition to clean and renewable energy, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the UN.
With the investment of R$ 50 million in solar energy and the consolidation of its plants in Minas Gerais, Remotia Energetic Infrastructure reaffirms its commitment to boosting sustainable energy generation in the state, contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions and the construction of a greener and more conscious future.
