Mondelez Brasil, Manufacturer Of Famous Brands Such As Lacta, Oreo, Club Social, And Tang, Announced An Investment Of R$ 1 Billion To Increase Its Production Capacity In Pernambuco And Paraná.
The investment aims to accelerate growth in Brazil and promote innovation, with a focus on reducing carbon dioxide emissions and the goal of eliminating greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
The amount invested will be 70% higher than the investment made last year and is mainly intended for chocolate and biscuit lines. The expectation is for a 50% increase in the production capacity of the Bis, Sonho de Valsa, and Ouro Branco lines in Vitória de Santo Antão, and 20% in Curitiba, where the largest chocolate factory of Mondelez Brasil is located.
Liel Miranda, president of the company in the country, highlighted that the expansion prioritizes innovation, sustainability, and increasing production capacity. Miranda explained that the growth trend involves entering new categories and sustainable practices, reflecting a strategic focus on both inorganic and organic growth.
