J.Macêdo invests R$ 300 million in a new factory in Ceará, increases production, and strengthens its presence in the national market.
A new chapter in J.Macêdo’s expansion began to take shape with the delivery of a modern pasta factory in the municipality of Horizonte, resulting from an investment of R$ 300 million.
The recent inauguration of the Roberto Proença de Macêdo Industrial Park places the company among the highlights of the food industry in Latin America.
The project was developed to increase production, modernize processes, and strengthen the company’s presence in the North and Northeast regions.

Tapajós Waterway sets a record of 2.38 million tons in the first two months of 2026 with convoys of 36 barges and 110,000 tons each.
At the same time, the initiative integrates a broader growth plan. Days earlier, another relevant project had already been completed in Londrina, showing that J.Macêdo’s investment in factories occurs strategically in different regions of the country.
New J.Macêdo factory is born integrated with the existing operation
Unlike isolated projects, the new complex was planned to operate in connection with the company’s existing structure.
J.Macêdo’s investment in the factory in Ceará allows for direct integration with the mill located in Fortaleza.
This connection makes the production process more agile. In addition, it reduces logistical steps and improves the distribution flow.
As a result, the company gains operational efficiency. At the same time, it can respond more quickly to the consumer markets in the region.

The new unit already begins its operations with impressive numbers. The annual capacity reaches 100 thousand tons of pasta, in addition to 12 thousand tons of cake mixes.
J.Macêdo’s investment in the factory also includes a robust logistics structure. There are about 10 thousand pallet positions available for storage and distribution.
In this way, the company expands its presence in the North and Northeast. This strengthens supply and improves the reach of its products.
The factory project was designed to grow over time
One of the differentiators of the enterprise is its format. J.Macêdo’s investment in the factory was structured based on a modular model.
This allows the unit to be expanded as demand increases. In addition, new product lines can be incorporated without interrupting production.
Thus, the company ensures flexibility and continuous growth. This model also reduces costs in future expansions.
The new J.Macêdo factory incorporates advanced technological solutions. The goal is to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality at all stages of the production process.
According to Irineu José Pedrollo:
“The installation of the two new complexes reinforces the company’s commitment to quality excellence, supporting our growth strategy. We added between 30 and 35% capacity in the production of pasta, mixes, milling, grain storage, and distribution centers.”
Moreover, the project adopts strict environmental practices. The unit prioritizes the rational use of water and aims to achieve the goal of zero waste sent to landfills.
J.Macêdo investment factory boosts regional development
The impact of J.Macêdo’s investment goes beyond production. The new unit directly contributes to job creation.
Each factory created by the company generates approximately 200 direct and indirect jobs. This strengthens the local economy and stimulates various sectors.
Additionally, Ceará has a historical role in the company’s trajectory. The choice of the state reinforces this bond and drives regional development.
The company’s movement is not limited to the Northeast. The complex inaugurated in Londrina also represents an important investment by J.Macêdo in a factory.
This unit integrates a wheat mill, storage silos, and a distribution center. The focus, in this case, is to serve the South and Southeast regions more efficiently.
Thus, the company balances its presence in different markets. This ensures greater competitiveness in the national scenario.
J.Macêdo’s strategy aims for sustainable growth
The new projects are part of a structured long-term plan. The goal is to prepare the company for the coming years, focusing on efficiency and innovation.
According to Ravi Macêdo:
“This project is born within a structuring cycle for the company — the P90 — a plan approved by shareholders in 2023, which looks to the coming years with ambition, responsibility, and a long-term vision.”
In this way, J.Macêdo’s investment in the factory connects to a broader strategic vision. The company seeks to grow sustainably and competitively.
