The issuance of the new ID with the possibility of delivery by mail is already beginning to transform access to the document in the Brazil, although the novelty is not yet available throughout the country. First, it is necessary to gather documents such as birth or marriage certificate, regularized CPF, and updated proof of residence. Then, the citizen must access the official website of their state and schedule an appointment online.
After that, an in-person service occurs, where biometric data such as photo, signature, and fingerprints are collected. At this moment, in states that offer the option, it is possible to choose to send it by mail.
Finally, tracking the issuance is done with the protocol number. In some places, the citizen receives notifications via SMS when the document is ready.

The possibility of receiving the new ID by mail brings more convenience, especially for those who have difficulty traveling. However, it is essential to check if this option is available in your state.

Even with the expansion of delivery by mail, the new ID also bets on the digital format as a practical alternative.
After the issuance of the physical document, the citizen can activate the digital version in the gov.br app. This functionality allows access to the document at any time, directly from the mobile phone.
