Nubank Has Thousands of Openings in Free Online Courses in One of the Fastest Growing Job Markets Today: Technology.
Last Wednesday (20), Nubank announced the opening of 10,000 positions in free online vocational courses for low-income individuals. The training will be conducted in the technology sector, which continues to thrive in Brazil. The course openings were created by the startup Nubank through a partnership between the Nu Institute and Descomplica, a popular educational platform in Brazil that promises to deliver quality content alongside this important Brazilian banking company.

According to Bety Tichauer, the Expansion Director at Descomplica, the technology sector course platform will combine Descomplica’s mission to provide quality education with the Nu Institute’s mission to combat social inequality through education, creating an effective and in-demand product for those who need it most, offering training and opportunities through free online courses.
It is important to highlight that Nubank has partnered with an internet service provider that will offer access to content without using the students’ data plans for the free online courses.

More than 200 free and fully online courses with certificates are open for registration for people from all over Brazil, in areas such as technology, programming, management, and languages, and can be secured without fees, without a selection process, and only with a CPF and email until the end of June.

Take a free technical course and earn R$ 300 per month: there are 60 open slots in free technical courses to study Electrotechnics or Production Planning and Control (PPC) with support from SENAI-MS and the Bataguassu City Hall.
Registrations will be open starting next Wednesday, July 27, and the online courses in the technology sector will focus on topics such as web development, including CS and JavaScript, and FrontEnd topics like design thinking, CSS, UX, HTML, and more.
Requirements to Enroll in Nubank and Descomplica’s Technology Courses
Participants in the free online courses will have content focused on preparing for the job market. To participate, interested individuals must be over 18 years old and belong to groups that face social vulnerability.
In addition to providing a free technology course of high quality, Nubank is also focused on expanding life improvement opportunities for groups that generally experience social exclusion. As such, half of the 10,000 openings will be allocated for Black individuals, with 30% of those designated specifically for women.
The technology courses will be conducted in remote learning mode, which may be live or recorded, allowing people from all over Brazil to participate, and will last for 15 weeks. Participants will receive supporting materials, a course completion certificate, technical evaluations, and much more.
Initially, Nubank is offering 3,000 openings, and to participate, it is necessary to register through the Partners site – Descomplica and Nubank. The remaining 7,000 course spots will be opened in the first semester of 2023.
