Accelerated Expansion of Omoda & Jaecoo in Brazil
The growth strategy of Omoda & Jaecoo includes strengthening its physical presence in key regions of Brazil.
The brand is working to surpass 100 dealerships by 2026, with an estimated coverage of 90% of the national territory.
Strategic cities like Belém, Caruaru, and other hubs in the Northeast are among the next confirmed locations.
Additionally, after-sales service will be enhanced with the implementation of a parts distribution center expected to reach 20,000 m² in the next three years.
In this way, the brand seeks to consolidate a more robust ecosystem to compete with direct competitors in the hybrid and electric SUV segment.
Jaecoo 5: Most Accessible Hybrid SUV in the Lineup
The Jaecoo 5 stood out in the press conference as the SUV that is expected to be the entry-level model for the brand in the country.
The model will arrive in Brazil as a plug-in hybrid car, with external charging capability and a powertrain composed of:
1.5 Turbo Engine;
Electric Motor;
Combined Power Exceeding 200 hp.
The expectation is that the model will adopt a CVT transmission, prioritizing efficiency and urban comfort.
Even as the most accessible SUV in the Jaecoo lineup, the brand emphasized that it will maintain a more sophisticated finish, focused on consumers seeking technology, efficiency, and a good onboard experience.
In this way, the Jaecoo 5 directly enters the competition with other compact plug-in hybrids in the Brazilian market.

Jaecoo 8: Seven-Seat Hybrid SUV with Over 500 hp
The Jaecoo 8 also made an appearance on stage at the Auto Show. Larger and more robust, the SUV arrives in Brazil in 2026 with:
Seven Seats (with a confirmed option for six seats);
All-Wheel Drive (AWD);
Plug-In Hybrid Configuration with 1.5 Turbo Engine + two electric motors;
Power Above 500 hp;
Battery Just Over 30 kWh;
Off-Road Driving Modes.
With these credentials, the Jaecoo 8 positions itself as a Premium Hybrid SUV, able to compete with models like the GWM Wey 07.
On the other hand, its off-road proposal enhances the car’s versatility, attracting families and drivers seeking high performance.

Complete Electrified Line Reinforces Brand Strategy
During the announcement, Omoda & Jaecoo confirmed that all operations in Brazil will follow the electrification proposal.
Models such as Omoda 5, Jaecoo 7, and Jaecoo 8 will have versions with different levels of hybridization — from mild hybrid systems to fully electric options.
While the brand has not disclosed prices or final details of the Brazilian versions of Jaecoo 5 and Jaecoo 8, it has stated that the vehicles will be available for viewing throughout the event period, from November 22 to 30, for both press and the general public.
