The good news was announced in a meeting between Governor Renato Casagrande and Petrobras’ Executive Director of Institutional Relations, Roberto Furian Ardenghy, last Friday. According to the state official, Espírito Santo will remain one of Petrobras’ investment priorities.
“We are viewing Brazil’s oil market with an international perspective, but Espírito Santo remains a priority for Petrobras. The Parque das Baleias project is in the company’s investment portfolio. I want to reiterate not only our presence in the state but also our commitment to increasingly support oil exploration projects in Espírito Santo,” said Roberto.
The P-71 was originally scheduled for the Tupi field, which will have a new development plan agreed upon with the partners in the venture, Shell (25% participation) and Petrogal (10%).
