North Fluminense Oil Workers’ Union (Sindipetro NF)
According to Sindipetro, the flight scheduled for 8 AM from Campos Airport would transport oil workers to a Shell platform. The worker suspected of coronavirus infection was from the city of Volta Redonda.
According to the entity’s statement, “Shell workers are not represented by Sindipetro-NF, which complicates the investigation of the case by the entity. The union, however, confirmed with sources from Petrobras and airport operations the veracity of the occurrence.
The Sindipetro also stated that preventive measures are being taken during the boarding of oil workers to the platforms. At the airports, all Petrobras employees undergo temperature checks and answer a questionnaire about their health conditions and routines in the past few days — informing, for example, whether they traveled anywhere.
