The Açu Port Is Planning to Begin Operations of the GNA 1 Thermoelectric Plant in the Second Quarter of 2021.
The project for the GNA 1 thermoelectric plant is currently in the commissioning process, which is part of an investment of around R$ 9 billion, which also involves a LNG regasification terminal, and also the construction of a second thermoelectric plant, GNA 2, which is expected to consume around R$ 4.5 billion of the total budget applied at the Açu Port.

Initial Açu Port Project to Jointly Build Both Plants
Initially, the port intended to start construction of both GNA thermoelectric plants simultaneously, but Carlos Fraga thought it best to demobilize the workforce for now, until waiting for a propitious moment to resume construction.
The LNG terminal is finished and will soon receive its first shipments. Concurrently, the company states that it is in an advanced licensing process for a UPGN. The facility will have a capacity of up to 40 MMm³/d in modular expansion.
Açu Port Aims to Participate in Auctions for GNA Thermoelectric Plants
According to Prumo Logística CEO, Carlos Fraga, it is included in the short-term plans the completion of two gas transport pipelines. The Gasinfe and the Gasog. One connects Açu Port to the Cabiúnas terminal in Macaé, and the other connects Açu Port to GASCAV.
