The opportunities are outlined in Notice 310/2025 and include the technical courses in Administration, Accounting, and Public Services, offered by the Passos campus in partnership with on-site support poles in different cities of Minas Gerais.
Applications, conducted exclusively online, began on November 24 and will continue until December 5, 2025, at 5:59 PM, according to the official schedule of the selection process.

On the entrance exam portal, the institute presents itself as responsible for “public, free, and quality education“, emphasizing that there are no tuition fees throughout the education, only the registration cost, with specific rules for exemption requests within the defined period.
Technical Courses EaD and Distribution of Spots
All 1,500 spots are for subsequent courses, meaning aimed at those who have already completed high school.
The duration of the three courses is one year, in a fully distance learning regime, but with mandatory in-person moments at accredited poles.
In the technical course in Administration, the notice sets aside 500 spots, equally distributed among five poles: Alfenas, Alterosa, Confins, Itamonte, and Passos, with 100 spots in each municipality.
The technical course in Accounting offers another 500 spots, organized into classes of 50 students at poles located in Andrelândia, Barão de Cocais, Campos Gerais, Confins, Ilicínea, Monte Sião, Passos, São Sebastião do Paraíso, Três Corações, and Varginha.
The technical course in Public Services also has 500 spots, similarly divided into classes of 50 students per pole.
The classes are linked to the poles of Alfenas, Alterosa, Andrelândia, Barão de Cocais, Campos Gerais, Confins, Itamonte, Monte Sião, Passos, and Três Corações.
In all cases, these are subsequent courses, aimed at candidates who have already finished high school.
Candidate Profile and Accepted Documents
The target audience for the notice consists of candidates who have completed high school by the date of the enrollment request.
The document makes an exception for students who have not yet received their certificate due to the calendar of the institution they attend.
In these cases, it is possible to present a school declaration certifying the expected completion by the start of classes, with a deadline defined in the notice.
As these are subsequent courses, there is no offer for those still attending regular high school without a prospect of completion within the stipulated timeframe.
In the enrollment form, each candidate needs to indicate whether they intend to compete for open competition, for one of the affirmative actions aimed at graduates of public schools, or for the reservation for people with disabilities (PwD).
Affirmative Actions and Distribution of Spots
To increase access, IFSULDEMINAS adopts a detailed vacancy reservation system outlined in the notice.
Of the total designated for each course and pole, 45% of the spots go to open general competition.
Another 5% are reserved for people with disabilities.
The remaining 50% make up the block of affirmative actions aimed at those who completed elementary school entirely in public schools.
Within this block, there are subdivisions that consider family income per capita, self-declaration as Black, Brown, or Indigenous, status as quilombola, and presence of disability.
Operation of EaD Courses and In-Person Meetings
Despite being offered in EAD format, the courses are not entirely remote.
The notice states that 20% of the grades in each subject will be assigned to in-person assessment activities, conducted during mandatory training meetings at support poles.
These moments require students to plan for periodic travel to their chosen pole.
In the technical course in Public Services, the program lasts 12 months and comprises about 800 hours, fully distance learning.
The slots are opened according to each selection process notice.
The courses in Administration or Accounting follow the same logic, with online classes, in-person assessment activities, and material available in a virtual environment.
The continuity of classes depends on filling a minimum of 70% of the spots.
Electronic Lottery and Complete Schedule
Admission will be determined exclusively by electronic lottery, organized by the institute’s Admission Directorate.
The lottery is scheduled for December 11, at 2 PM, with video recording for auditing and transparency purposes.
The results, with the list of selected and excess candidates, are expected to be published on December 15.
Candidates called in the first call will have from December 15 to 19 to submit their enrollment documentation.
The calendar includes interviews of the hetero-identification committee, document analysis, the possibility of appeals, and new calls, with steps extending until the end of January 2026.
Throughout the process, the notice emphasizes that it is the candidate’s responsibility to monitor any updates to the schedule on the official entrance exam page.
How to Enroll in the Selection Process
Those wishing to compete for one of the 1,500 free slots should access the IFSULDEMINAS entrance exam portal, locate the Notice 310/2025 and begin the registration process in the candidate area, using a gov.br account linked to their own CPF.
After logging in, the system requests personal information, course and support pole selection, as well as the indication of the type of desired slot. It is also necessary to provide a valid email, which will be used for sending official notifications.
The R$ 10 fee can be paid via Pix, credit card, or Union Collection Guide, within the schedule deadlines, and there is a specific period to request an exemption.
For those without internet access, the campuses will provide computers for registration by prior appointment.
