“Our first Plants will be in the states of Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, and Ceará, marking the start of our initiatives with renewable energy. These solar power plants will generate more than 51 thousand MWh per year, enough to meet the consumption of approximately 300 complete Ipiranga service stations (stations with AmPm and Jet Oil franchises),” the company highlighted on its LinkedIn profile LinkedIn.
The Ipiranga network also emphasized that resellers and franchisees will be able to access solar energy without any type of investment required!

GDSolar and Ipiranga Network
GDSolar will be responsible for the construction, operation, and maintenance of the plants. The expectation is to start generating by April of next year. The Ipiranga solar power plant aims, in addition to production, to support the operational efficiency and financial health of its resellers and franchisees. This is because the electricity bill is the second largest operating cost for its network.
