According to Royal IHC, the FPSO will be installed in Petrobras’ Marlim field in the Campos Basin, 150 km off the coast of Brazil
Royal IHC stated that the equipment would be placed on the floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel Anna Nery, on behalf of Yinson. Yinson secured the contract in October 2019 to convert a crude oil tanker built in 2002 into the Anna Nery FPSO. The company will be the operator and will maintain the vessel. The vessel will be installed in the Marlim 2 oil field in the Campos Basin, 150 kilometers off the coast of Brazil, in water depth of 930 meters.

FPSO Anna Nery
Undeniably, the FPSO Anna Nery will be capable of processing 70,000 barrels daily of oil and 4 MMcm/d of gas. Production is expected to begin in 2023. IHC stated that the design of the discharge and buoyancy extraction system minimizes the space required on board for storage. The company is expected to deliver the systems next year.

In summary, Yinson stated in a statement on Wednesday that the estimated aggregate value of the contracts was equivalent to US$ 5.4 billion. The contract period is 25 years from the date of final acceptance. Thus, FPSO Marlim 2 will be the first vessel from Yinson to operate in Brazilian waters and is one of several offerings in the region where the company has entered.
